Daniel Skuta - A Team for the Ages

Daniel Skuta left the Jacksonville Jaguars following two successful seasons at linebacker—having enjoyed sharing the field with NFL greats and performing for a loyal fan base each game between 2015 and 2016.

Now retired from the game, Skuta looks back on a memorable tenure with the city’s favorite local franchise—as well as the historical year the Jaguars enjoyed throughout the magical 2017 season.

A Team for the Ages

Daniel Skuta watched as the 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars quickly became one of the most dynamic and imposing teams to have ever marched out onto the professional gridiron.

Composed of such greats as Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue and Malik Jackson, the 2017 Jags posted a record-breaking 10-sack performance during the opening day rout of the Houston Texans—and completed the year with a league-leading 55 sacks and AFC Championship berth.

It wasn’t long before the 2017 season that Skuta and others started the Sacksonville philanthropic brand—a t-shirt brand that celebrates the Jags defense and supports the local community to this day.

Daniel Skuta - The History of Sacksonville

Daniel Skuta has discovered a way to utilize the unwavering devotion of the Jaguars’ fanbase not only to strengthen support for the team’s vaunted defensive unit, but also to make a very real and positive difference in the local community.

With the evolution of the Sacksonville trend, Daniel Skuta and associates developed the Sacksonville t-shirt brand to do something powerful and impactful for those in need—to use fans’ love of the Jaguars to take a major step forward in the fight against childhood hunger.

The History of Sacksonville

Sacksonville began shortly after a Jaguars’ blowout win against the Houston Texans at the beginning of the 2017 NFL season—a win that included an incredible 10-sack performance and elevated the Jags’ defense to the national spotlight.

Jacksonville’s defense continued its roll of crushing opposing offenses and frustrating QBs throughout the rest of the season—a historical effort that was supported by imposing chants of “Sacksonville” during each Jags’ home game the rest of the year.
